I always say, “good music feeds your soul.”  I’m sure I probably heard it somewhere and tried to pass it off as my own saying all these years. Anyhoo, it’s rare that I get really excited over a new artist, but Elle Varner totally tickles my fancy in ways I never knew a new musician could again.  That scratchy voice, humorous lyrics and quirky style all have the mixings for a perfect funky R&B artist. I’ve been playing her new mixtape “Conversational Lush” on repeat for a couple days and it’s making more excited then ever for her debut album.
